The Bigfork Art & Cultural Center, BACC, traces its roots back to 1977 when a group of forward-thinking individuals saw the need to foster the arts and to provide a community center for the small village of Bigfork. The group purchased and renovated a gas station on Electric Avenue and the location became the Bigfork Art & Cultural Center.
BACC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to share a living history through on going search of ‘stories’ and perspectives. We showcase Artists seeking to establish their work as emerging artists. Facilitate mentorship and courses to develop their talent and build their profession. We strive to build the Arts influence with each other and community members as ambassadors and teachers; reveal the richness of our conjoined history by the expression through all of the Arts.
The upper Gallery serves as the BACC Museum, featuring our Bigfork History Project, our interactive workstation and our historical collection. The lower Gallery hosts a variety of exhibits throughout the year and Art, etc., our gallery shop, features works by Montana artists, artisans and authors.
